Used RV AC Won't Turn On

by Darla
(Twentynine Palms, CA)

Question: We just purchased a used RV from a dealer and the AC worked fine for two days. Now when we try to turn it on we get a click from the control until then nothing. Could it be a circut breaker or something?

Robbie: Yes, it could very well be a circuit breaker. Look at your control panel and see if one of the breakers (should be a 20 amp) are tripped. It would be about half way down. Be sure to push the breaker all the way to off (down) before pushing it up to reset it.

Let me know what you find,
Robbie

ac or micro wont turn on
by: Anonymous

I've a 89 ford class c. AC and micro won't come on anymore. Checked fuses on generator and inside coach, and circuit breakers, everything appears fine. Recently changed both batteries under the hood. What am I missing here?

Same problem
by: Michael

My DuoTherm 57915.541 has the same problem, except I have power all the way to the AC unit. None of the fuses are bad. I was told it might be the capacitor and the way to check it was to see if it was swollen or blackened. Mine does not have any of these physical signs that it is bad. It might be the control board in the AC unit, but I do not know how to check it.

Rv air won't come on

My older used 2003 salem 5th wheel air won't turn on and a definite click sound is heard up in the ceiling in the a/c when I try to turn it on. Is there a reset somewhere in that area?

2006 Funmover Rooftop A/C Not Working
by: Jim

My a/c is not working in my Funmover - it won't even come on so I'm assuming I have a blown fuse, tripped breaker, or something similar. Any troubleshooting ideas? I know where the fusebox and power distribution box is but I'm not sure where my breaker box is...
