Suburban SW6P Hot Only 30 Seconds

Question:Just bought used camper. Used camper 2 times with no problem the first outing. second outing, water was hot entire time i showeed. My husband showered 4 hours later. Water was hot for about 30 seconds then cold. went to bed got u next morning hot water for approximately 30 seconds then cold. not sure of problem.

Robbie: I think we can fix this issue with little effort. Look behind the waterheater and you're going to find winterizing valves. One of these valves (3) has been moved allowing the cold and hot to mix. Top and Lower valve should be Open. The valve in the middle should be closed. I think you'll find the middle valve was wrong.
If you have a single lever style By-Pass be sure its in the correct position (it is marked). Hope this does it for you. Good luck

Thanks for the Question Good Luck,
Robbie

What a great article. I too am having this trouble with a trailer that was winterized. I've never had to deal with winterizing so it never occurred to me that this might be a problem. Thanks
