Slide Out Won't Close At Bottom

Question: My slide out on my RV doesnt close all the way at top bottom is in flush but top is out about 2 inches...How can i get it to close i am thinking a adjustment is needed.

Robbie: This is a sensitive adjustment in that I strongly suggest you take the Motorhome or trailer in and have a Qualified Service Center make the adjustment. You can do a lot of damage to a slide making the wrong adjustments. Some adjustments require two techs. I had a customer a few months ago try to adjust his own slide and when he closed it, it tore a huge hole in his linoleum flooring. A small adjustment can have huge consequences. Please don't try this yourself. You also need to find out why the slide adjustment has changed.

Thanks for the Question Good Luck,

Robbie Warford, San Diego RV Repair

Hi, I'm Robbie. Welcome to!

Like the name implies, this site is all about helping you save money while keeping your RV in tip-top shape--and that is all about you having the knowledge to do so.

I've been a technician in the RV industry for 30 years, operating out of San Diego, California. And let me tell you, I love my job.

But I also love empowering RVers with the knowledge they need to make the right decision on repairs, or to make the fix themselves--and that, my friend, is the reason for this website. I hope you enjoy.

Or, learn more about me, my RV service practice, & this website here.
