Slide Out Portion Has No Lights

by Bonnie
(Canada)

Hi we own a 33ft Tahoe 5th wheel 2000 serial number 5H203A. The slide out portion is the dining room and living room. There are plug ins on either end that work but no lights. We've checked all the bulbs and can't figure out if there's a switch for the slide out portion??? Or possibly a frayed wire?? How woule we go about this. Please help.

Without lights

Robbie: Your plug in outlets are 110V and the lights you have not working in the slide-out are more than likely 12V. There is a good chance you may have a wire broken. Check outside underneath the slide for a cut or broken wire. Be careful when you do this because your 110V wires are running along side the 12V and can shock you if exposed and touched. If you have no experience at all with wiring you might want to consider having a mobile RV service come over and check it out to be safe.

Good luck,
Robbie
