Roof Type on 1984 Ford Coachman

by William Hines
(Marion NC)

Question: I'm not sure when they came out with a rubber roof . The insurance adjuster said it came from the factory with a rubber roof , but it looks and feels like metal. If you could please help.

Robbie: "If it looks like metal and feels like metal it probably is metal. It will be the only type of RV roof that has anything close to a shiny silver metallic look."

This quote is from a page on this website to help you figure out what type of roof your RV has. Check it out here to read everything you should need to answer your question. If you are still not sure you can post a picture and I could tell you myself.

Robbie Warford, San Diego RV Repair

Hi, I'm Robbie. Welcome to Money-Saving-RV-Repair.com!

Like the name implies, this site is all about helping you save money while keeping your RV in tip-top shape--and that is all about you having the knowledge to do so.

I've been a technician in the RV industry for 30 years, operating out of San Diego, California. And let me tell you, I love my job.

But I also love empowering RVers with the knowledge they need to make the right decision on repairs, or to make the fix themselves--and that, my friend, is the reason for this website. I hope you enjoy.

Or, learn more about me, my RV service practice, & this website here.
