Removing Short Interior Wall

by Jerry Weaver
(Sherwood, OR)

Question: We have a 2005 Cherokee 28A+ lite that I would like to remove the short wall at the end of the bed- we rebuilt the box under the mattress and replaced the mattress with a standard queen size. My feet hung over the RV one! Anyway, the this is the short wall that the accordion privacy door ( which we removed) was attached to. Is it possible this is a partial bearing wall? I took off the skin and it is hollow and just a simple framed space.

Robbie: It is not a load bearing wall and removing it will not bother anything.

Good Luck,
Robbie
