My Current Fixed Income Does Not Allow For Me To Continue Making Payments On The RV

by Tara

Question: My husband died and I cannot afford to make monthly payments on our RV, for I have house monthly bills and my monthly living expenses. I have carefully reviewed my financial situation with my banking institution and have concluded that the only possible way I can survive financially is to give back the RV. What are the laws on being a retiree and having a fixed income?

Robbie: I'm very sorry for your loss. This is not my specialty but you might want to consider consigning your motor home to assist you in selling it. Dealerships have the ability to finance a buyer but use caution and be sure to agree on a selling price and do not let them call and talk you down on the price saying they have a buyer on the site.

As far as laws are concerned I would suggest you call the company you have the loan with and ask for their advice.

Robbie Warford, San Diego RV Repair

Hi, I'm Robbie. Welcome to Money-Saving-RV-Repair.com!

Like the name implies, this site is all about helping you save money while keeping your RV in tip-top shape--and that is all about you having the knowledge to do so.

I've been a technician in the RV industry for 30 years, operating out of San Diego, California. And let me tell you, I love my job.

But I also love empowering RVers with the knowledge they need to make the right decision on repairs, or to make the fix themselves--and that, my friend, is the reason for this website. I hope you enjoy.

Or, learn more about me, my RV service practice, & this website here.
