Kitchen Sink Leaking on a 2004 Breckenrodge

by Kristy
(Lindstrom MN)

Question:Turned on the water this season and the faucet started to leak above the sink. One pice plastic moen, under the sink looks like hot and cold water tubs go up to the hardware into one unit, but does not seem to be leaking under the sink. Thanks

Robbie:You can rebuild the faucet by removing the top handle (loosen allen screw underside)and unscrew the top ring carefully. Now lift up and remove the water valve. Underneath the valve you will see two rubber grommets with a spring under each one. Remove carefully paying attention to the way they sit in the hole. Take them to Lowes or Home Depot and match them. Replace just like you removed them. Replace Valve, ring, and handle and Test.
You did say the faucet is plastic? If you can afford it I would replace with a nice Metal Faucet but the choice is yours. Good luck

Thanks for the Question Good Luck,
Robbie
