Carier AC Bearing Noise

by Rick

Question:Ac unit started making a sound like bearings going out or a bearing sound form spinning

Robbie: It sounds like you've got a bearing going out or a cracked squirrel cage but getting either is going to be very difficult. Carrier AC manufacturer closed its doors a few years ago and parts are no longer available. The support line is no longer being answered when a tech calls. So even if you need anything for the AC all you can do is call around for a repair shop that might still have what you need on there shelf's. I can't find anything here in the San Diego area anymore. Total AC replacement is the next step.

Robbie Warford, San Diego RV Repair

Hi, I'm Robbie. Welcome to Money-Saving-RV-Repair.com!

Like the name implies, this site is all about helping you save money while keeping your RV in tip-top shape--and that is all about you having the knowledge to do so.

I've been a technician in the RV industry for 30 years, operating out of San Diego, California. And let me tell you, I love my job.

But I also love empowering RVers with the knowledge they need to make the right decision on repairs, or to make the fix themselves--and that, my friend, is the reason for this website. I hope you enjoy.

Or, learn more about me, my RV service practice, & this website here.
