Bought A 1959 RV That Has No Title

Question I bought an RV in California. Then drove it to my farm in Indiana. It came with a license plate so never really worried about title. After a year i pretty much just used it on the property not for travel. Now I'd like to get it fixed up so have to drive it to a remodelers. Indiana won't give me plates because I don't have a title for it. What do I do? I called the seller, he says he never has titles to these type of trailers they don't have engines and so don't require a title...
Robbie: It is not my area of expertise as I specialize in repairs and service, but I have talked to some people who can answer your question. But first I need a bit more information.
1. Is there a manufacturer?s name on the RV or was it made by hand?
2. How long is the RV? I was told years ago campers and trailers 16 feet and under didn't require a title. This is not the case today.
3. Is there a number stamped in the frame, most likely on the tongue?
4. If you can give me the license plate number I can find out if it was ever actually registered here in California.
Thanks for your unique inquiry. With this addition information I should be able to help you out.
