Avion Refrigerator Not Cooling

by Kathy
(TX)

Question: We have a 20 yr old Avion travel trailer. The freezer on the refrigerator works but the bottom doesnt get cold. Any suggestions?

Robbie: That's the first sign of the cooling unit going bad. If it's 20 years old I strongly suggest you consider replacing the frig. You can open up the outside access and touch the pipes after the frig has been running 24 hours. If the pipes are very hot then replace the frig. If the freezer is freezing your heat sources are working and it's time to replace the frig.

Hi, I'm Robbie. Welcome to Money-Saving-RV-Repair.com!

I've been a technician in the RV industry for 30 years, operating out of San Diego, California. And let me tell you, I love my job.

But I also love empowering RVers with the knowledge they need to make the right decision on repairs, or to make the fix themselves--and that, my friend, is the reason for this website. I hope you enjoy.
