Air Conditioner Won't Work Only Hear a Click

Question: I recently purchase a 2003 springdale travel trailer it has a duo therm air conditioner in it we used it for a week then it stopped working. when you turn it on or off you hear 1 click. what could be wrong?? I can use the thermostat for the heat but when i turn it on for the air nothing happens. can you give me some advice please!!! I'm seriously at my wits end here!!! Thanks!!! :)

Robbie: If the furnace is working and you can hear a click up in the AC when you turn it on it sounds like you have lost 110V power to the unit, the clicking noise is the relay on the computer to turn on the AC and its 12V operated. I would first look at your fuse panel and see if the breaker to the AC has tripped. Remember you must first push the relay down and then up to reset.

Thanks for the Question Good Luck,
Robbie

Thanks! NEW

Just wanted to say thanks for this answer! Our rear A/C wouldn't turn on and all I heard was clicking. I immediately thought it was a bad capacitor until I found this. Sure enough, went to the breaker panel and the breaker had been tripped for some reason. Flipped it back on and it's working fine for now!
