AC Blower Does Not Come On

by David
(Gunter TX)

Question: I have 2004 keystone ac stoped working found bad breaker and replaced still does not work, compressor comes on ,blower does not, so i replaced starting copassitor still nothing. could the problem be thermotsat?

Robbie: I would check and see if you have voltage to the motor. If you do then you need to replace the motor. If you do not have voltage then you need to go to the switch. If your AC unit is operated through a computer circuit board you need to check the connections to the fan at the board. They may be burnt and you'll need a new circuit board.

The start capacitor does not operate the motor but supplies the extra surge of voltage needed to start the compressor.

Good Luck,

Hi, I'm Robbie. Welcome to!

I've been a technician in the RV industry for 30 years, operating out of San Diego, California. And let me tell you, I love my job.

But I also love empowering RVers with the knowledge they need to make the right decision on repairs, or to make the fix themselves--and that, my friend, is the reason for this website. I hope you enjoy.
