2010 Jayco Greyhawk Slider Noisy

by Don Johnson

Question: My 2010 jayco motorhome passenger side slideout makes a rough noise when moving in or out. I noticed white plastic shavings and pieces on ground. I looked under slide saw 6" wide strip of plastic with screws I guess a guide with small pieces missing any help with this being a known problem? thanks Don Johnson

Robbie: I wouldn't call it a "known problem" but the strip of plastic you found is most likely a friction plate. It is really unusual for them to wear out. A probable cause for this is a foreign object getting under the slide.

I would recommend you take it to a reputable repair center for repair. It may unfortunately require removing the slide.

Good Luck,
