New Old RV Awning

Question: I pulled down the awning that was supposed to have been rolled up for a year+. It was full of water. Do awnings collect water while they are rolled up?

Robbie: I suppose it's possible to have water in the rolls of the fabric, but if it had been a year and was put away wet it would have covered in black mold spots. You should always try to store awnings when dry. If they're wet when you roll it up after camping, roll it out when you get home and allow it to dry. When your awning to totally dry let me know if it does collect water when stored after a good rain. I'll post your response for others to read. Maybe readers could respond to this question also.
