How To Charge Battery?

Question: Does the battery on a camper get charged from the truck engine or when u plug it in to the outlet does it get charged then?

Robbie: Locate the battery condition on your monitor panel inside the camper. Push the button and read what it says. Then plug the camper into the truck, start the engine, and get a reading from the monitor panel. It will show charging if the truck has been wired to charge the system, if not you can have the truck wired to do so.

Do the same test again and this time plug in the camper and again you should see the battery condition go up on the panel and show charging. If the camper has a converter, the monitor should show the batteries are charging. Most all camper trailers have the converter to charge your battery.

I suggest you also read the batteries page on our website to get all the info you'll need to understand how long to charge them and when to service them etc…
